The year is 2019. The finest men in America don’t run for President. They run for their lives.
The Running Man combines two of my favorite things from the 80’s, adaptations of a Stephen King story and an action film starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. The Running Man was a novel that King published under his pseudonym Richard Bachman, it tells the story of a future where people are entertained by violent game shows on their television, including the gladiator-style one with the same title as this movie.
Of course the contestants doesn’t volunteer for The Running Man, instead they are portrayed as the criminals and scum of the earth even though that might not always be the case. And that’s not the case with Arnold Schwarzeneggers character Ben Richards, who know has to fight for his life and also find a way to prove his innocence from a crime he did not commit.
Director: Paul Verhoeven
Starring: Arnold Schwarzenegger, Rachel Ticotin, Sharon Stone, Ronny Cox, Michael Ironside
They stole his mind, now he wants it back
It’s 2084 and Douglas Quaid is wanting more out of his life than just working hard as a construction worker. There is something about the planet Mars that attracts him to want to go there, but his wife and co-workers does not share his enthusiasm for the red planet due to the unsafe state it is in.
He comes across a commercial for a company that implants holiday memories directly into the brain of their customers and he decides it would be a good idea to use the company for an action filled trip to Mars. Something goes wrong while they are trying to give Douglas a good trip though and he finds himself having to question what is fantasy and what is reality, and who he even really is.

The government gave him a raw deal. Nobody gives him a raw deal.
Mark Kaminsky was kicked out of the FBI for being too rough towards the suspects. He now lives a more quiet life as a sheriff in a small town. His wife is not happy living the new life outside of a big city and Mark is missing the action of bringing down the big guys in the criminal underworld.
He gets a chance to go on a new mission when his old boss calls him needing help to bring down a big shot mafia boss by working on his own, without the backing of the law. Mark fakes his own death and starts to re-emerge as the convicted felon Joseph P. Brenner and with his new identity he works on becoming one of the henchmen for crime boss Luigi Patrovita and then ultimately take him down.

In the Year of Darkness, 2029, the rulers of this planet devised the ultimate plan. They would reshape the Future by changing the Past. The plan required something that felt no pity. No pain. No fear. Something unstoppable. They created ‘THE TERMINATOR’
In the near future, computers have taken over the world and there is a war between the human race and artificially intelligent machines… and the humans have the odds against them. The biggest strength of the humans is a military leader named John Connor.
The machines sends out a Terminator, a killing machine that looks like a human being, back to the year 1984 to hunt down Sarah Connor. Sarah is the one who will eventually become the mother of John Connor and the machines are sure to win the war if the Terminator is able to hunt her down and kill her. Her only hope is a human resistance fighter named Kyle Reese who is also sent back in time and his mission is to keep her safe at all costs.

Back for War
The gang of mercenaries are back and have just finished a mission where they had to rescue a hostage and bring him back to China. They are then forced into a mission where they have to retrieve an item from an airplane wreckage in Albania.
While trying to find the item their mission gets interrupted by the arms dealer Vilain and his crew. Vilain gets the item, which he is going to use to find five ton of plutonium that are located in a mine in the Bulgaria. Before leaving the group, Vilain also kills Billy and now the mercenaries are out to take revenge on him and also stop Vilain’s evil plans.
The first Expendables was cool to see since it was supposed to be a salute to the 80’s action films and action heroes. It was by all means not a perfect film, but it was a fun experience. This time there are more cameo’s and the humour and self-references are upped. Some of the humour works while at other times it gets cringeworthy bad. The story is crappy put together and it seems like nobody cared about it at all.
