One escaped. The other is about to be unleashed.
Dinocroc vs. Supergator. The killer animals from Dinocroc (2004) and Supergator (2007) meet up and fight each other to the death!
A scientific experiment goes wrong and both animals gets free in less than a minute into the movie. They proceed to walk around and cause chaos in a nearby jungle, killing every random character that pops up for their five minute fame in this monster mash-up movie.
The lab where these mutated animals were kept at was funded by the evil money man Jason Drake (David Carradine) and as always they were made to be future military weapons (you would think they would learn not to do this by now). The other characters in this movie is your typical hero’s, including «The Cajun» which is hired to kill the two animals. You will forget all of them within five minutes after the movie has ended anyways.
The location the movie is shot at is beautiful and I’m sure the cast and crew had a great time doing this film. Speaking of the crew, Jim Wynorski pops up as the director of this film. It’s amazing how he is still around doing movies, but more power to the guy for being able to stay in the business. And the legendary Roger Corman is the executive producer of this. David Carradine shows up for a quick paycheck and his character and scenes aren’t really needed, but Carradine is fun to watch so it’s an ok add to the movie.
You would think a movie such as this would be a cinematic orgasm, but it’s not. It’s fun in parts, but the silly scenes ruins it. In one of the scenes a guy is standing in very swallow water that only reaches him up to the ankles, but still the supergator is able to attack him from underneath. And next up his girl gets attacked by the Dinocroc who are able to sneak up behind her. Even Wynorski should know better than this. Some of the other death scenes are fun and I thought the beasts looked alright, at least a lot better than most killer animals from Syfy movies.
I do feel cheated that the final fight between Dinocroc and Supergator only lasted a minute tops! My favorite of the two did perform best in the fight however, so I guess I should be happy with that. If you are still interested in the movie after reading that title, then just go see it. You get exactly what you expect from this movie. Nothing more, nothing less.
